Whiteware whiskey jug was made by Knowles, Taylor & Knowles in East Liverpool, Ohio, in Columbiana County. Produced in approximately 1880, this white jug has a green lettered decal on the exterior that reads "Meridiths Diamond Club Pure Rye Whiskey Expressly For Medicinal Use." It is marked on the bottom "KTK China."

Knowles, Taylor & Knowles was founded by Isaac Knowles and Isaac Harvey in 1854 in East Liverpool, Ohio. The partners produced Rockingham and yellow queensware. In 1870, Knowles brought son Homer Knowles and son-in-law John Taylor into the firm and produced whiteware, yellowware and ironstone pieces.
